We’re rounding the year off with the excellent news that Baileys and Partners has won the M-SParc Constant Collaborator Award!

We had a fantastic time attending the 2022 M-SParc Enterprise Hub Awards on 8th December and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of meeting other businesses connected to the Menai Science Park.

The night was made even more special by the fact that we were announced as the winners of the Constant Collaborator Award!

What is M-SParc?

M-SParc is a Bangor University-affiliated innovation park located in Gaerwen on Anglesey that was set up to drive forwards Wales’ science and technology sector. Its mission is to ‘to ignite the economy, inspire the people & innovate for the environment; all for a sustainable Wales.’

The Enterprise Hub is a partnership between Menter Mon and M-Sparc providing entrepreneurs and small businesses like Baileys and Partners with support, guidance and inspiration to grow a business in North Wales.

Menter Mon successfully collaborates businesses, individuals, communities and the public sector to deliver innovative and exciting projects in North Wales, we have the pleasure of working alongside members of the Menter Mon Team on a number of their key projects.

What does it mean to be a constant collaborator at M-SParc?

Collaboration is an important part of the philosophy of M-SParc and it’s also central to the Baileys and Partners brand and business concept. As part of this, we engage with fellow tenants and work alongside them on a variety of projects, which in essence means we count them as our partners.

The innovation park plays a big part in our business as this is where our senior surveyor Tom Hughes and graduate surveyor Bryn Jenkins are based.

Collaboration at M-SParc means working alongside over 70 other tenants and virtual tenants as a basis for mutual progression and ultimately the benefit of the wider North Wales economy.

It also involves attending events run by the park and its partners which include the likes of Microsoft and Google, while also joining regular breakfasts and BBQs to hear from regional leaders and learn more about fellow tenants.

How does Baileys collaborate?

We’ve been tenants at M-SParc for a year and during this time we’ve demonstrated our commitment to working at the park alongside the management team and fellow tenants.

We pride ourselves in collaborating with other businesses at M-SParc both in work and socialising outside of work. We support tenant social events, external seminars hosted at M-SParc and are a strong supporter of Cafe Tanio as a venue for collaborating.

Meanwhile, Baileys is working alongside tenants including Bangor University, Tech Tyfu and Morlais on important projects that will provide a boost to the North Wales economy.

Additionally, we’ve taken the opportunity to collaborate with the park’s brilliant web designers and the incredibly supportive HR team to support our business model.

Since the recent Level Up Showcase Event, we’ve also been sharing work opportunities with fellow tenants where we felt their services could complement the Natural Capital Consortium, a group Baileys is involved with alongside four other land agencies.
