The harvest season marks an important time on the agricultural calendar. The harvest is when crops are brought in (harvested) for food. Marking the end of harvest has historically been a village festival normally consisting of a harvest tea or supper. This year we are celebrating harvest in a different manner, The Farming Community Network together with Reverend Dr Sally Harper have composed a wonderful online harvest and thanksgiving service. Watch it here.
During the service our very own Ed Bailey who is a volunteer caseworker for the FCN, recites a reading from the Letter of St Paul to the Philippians. Ed is very pleased to be able to support the FCN and those in need of support during times of difficulty. The FCN volunteer caseworkers are available 365 days of the year – A problem shared is a problem halved. To talk to a caseworker, call the FCN on 03000 111999.
