Baileys and Partners welcome Anglesey’s Thomas Hughes to their team

The Baileys and Partners team are delighted to welcome Thomas Hughes of Maenaddwyn, Anglesey to their growing team.

A fluent Welsh speaker, Tom is Anglesey born and bred and will be working from a new Baileys and Partners office based at Menai Science Parc (M-SParc) in Gaerwen. M-SParc is a focal point of the low carbon focus of North Wales, linking to exciting developments taking place on the ‘Energy Island’. The new office at M-Sparc will provide a professional base for Baileys and Partners where they can collaborate with fellow tenants and have the support of the energetic and engaging M-SParc team.

A qualified Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor, Tom will be joining Baileys and Partners at a Senior Surveyor level, bringing a breadth of experience with him working within the utility and infrastructure sector, having previously worked as a Land Agent for Dwr Cymru, and as a Rural Estates Manager at Isle of Anglesey County Council.

Having been brought up on a dairy farm on Anglesey and now running a small agricultural enterprise of his own with his wife Rhian, Tom has a keen interest and an in-depth knowledge of the rural and agricultural sector, representing Anglesey Federation of Young Farmers at National events and stock judging at the Royal Welsh Show. The couple have three children, which arguably keeps him busier than his day job!

Tom has also completed a Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering and is fully proficient in the use of Auto CAD and various Global Information Systems (GIS). As such his skills will complement and strengthen the existing engineering expertise that Baileys and Partners have in house which is going to be important given the increasing demand for energy related services.

Ed Bailey of Baileys and Partners is looking forward to working with Thomas: “Tom is a people person. He is charismatic, practical and has an excellent mix of professional expertise. I’m delighted to welcome him to our team”

Thomas would always welcome a chat and a panad. Thomas can be contacted on his mobile: 07538 039889 or email: thomas.hughes@baileysandpartners.co.uk
